Call for long-term supported accommodation provider for Hobart

The Rockliff Liberal Government is committed to improving housing outcomes for vulnerable Tasmanians and providing them with the accommodation support services they need and deserve.

Every Tasmanian deserves a roof over their head and to help provide supported accommodation for Tasmanians with long-term certainty, Homes Tasmania has today released a Request for Grant Proposal for a service provider in Hobart.

``The Campbell Street Supported Accommodation Facility provides safe, secure and affordable accommodation for people 18 years and over with low support needs,’’ Minister Barnett said.

``It has 50 self-contained units, common areas, staff offices and 43 car spaces which can be made available for commercial lease to support the operations of the facility.

``To ensure the ongoing delivery of supported accommodation to current and new residents, proposals are now sought for the provision of services when the current Grant Deed and Residential Management Agreement expires on 30 June 2023.

``This is another great example of Homes Tasmania partnering with experienced providers to deliver to care for Tasmanians in need,’’ Minister Barnett said.

Suitably experienced non-government organisations are invited to make a submission which close at 2pm on 9 March, 2023.
