Youth Week Tasmania 2021 grants

Eleven recipients will receive a share of $20,000 to deliver innovative and creative events and activities as part of Youth Week Tasmania 2021, which runs from 30 April to 9 May 2021.

Youth Week Tasmania is an annual celebration that recognises and celebrates the value of all young Tasmanians aged 12 to 25 years, and this year’s empowering theme is We’ve Got This!

The Grants Program supports local government, community organisations and schools to develop and deliver innovative events and activities during Youth Week Tasmania 2021.

Youth Week Tasmania aims to be inclusive of young Tasmanians from all communities, with grants of up to $2,000 to support events or activities.

The funded events include:
o    Outdoor Music and Movie in the Central Highlands municipality;
o    Reclaim the Lane 2021 in Devonport;
o    Youth Expo 2021 in Burnie;
o    Youth Week Hang-out(s) in Dorset; and
o    Peeps Youth Week Event in Mowbray.
