LGBTIQ Grants Program Open

Applications are now open for the 2021 Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer (LGBTIQ+) Grants Program as part of the Tasmanian Government’s plan to build a more inclusive Tasmania.

The Grants Program will provide $50,000 in funding to community organisations, tertiary institutions and local government, to assist in:

  • Increasing the number of Tasmanians who are accepting of diversity;
  • Improving resilience and capacity in the LGBTIQ+ community;
  • Fostering inclusion, respect and dignity for LGBTIQ+ Tasmanians; and
  • Enhancing access to services and increasing participation for LGBTIQ+ Tasmanians.

The Program aims is to build the resilience of LGBTIQ+ communities in Tasmania, and promote awareness of LGBTIQ+ issues.

It’s part of our commitment to fostering an inclusive society where all Tasmanians have an equal opportunity to contribute to Tasmanian life.

We want to support communities to recognise and treat all Tasmanians with dignity and respect, regardless of their relationship status, sexuality, gender identity or intersex characteristics.

Applications will close 7 April 2021. For further information visit www.communities.tas.gov.au/csr
