New Kindergarten for Spreyton Primary School

Students at Spreyton Primary School are learning in a new purpose-built Kindergarten as part of the Tasmanian Liberal Government’s commitment to providing Tasmanian children with the best possible chance to learn, thrive and grow.

We recognise the importance of the early years for future learning which is why we are proud to have provided $1.6 million in capital funding to construct two new Kindergarten classrooms, as well as the redevelopment of an existing Kindergarten space, ensuring our children have the best start possible to their education.

The buildings incorporate spaces that allow for flexible use and the interaction between the indoor and outdoor environment.

Importantly, this new facility maintains a clear and vital link between Spreyton Primary School and the community, while ensuring access and engagement across all age groups.

The Tasmanian Liberal Government acknowledges the vision, support and expertise involved in making this project happen.

Philp Lighton Architects and builders, Meadcon, worked closely with the Department of Education and the School to create this fantastic facility for our current Early Years learners and for those to come in future years.

This capital project is part of the Tasmanian Liberal Government’s record investment into education, giving all learners the best possible chance to learn and succeed into the future.
