Helping young Tasmanians navigate the pathway to rewarding careers

The Youth Navigators project has been launched aimed at supporting school-leavers impacted by COVID-19 into further education or training and ultimately to find work, as part of the Tasmanian Liberal Government’s plan to secure our future.

Navigating study and making decisions on work and future endeavours during the pandemic can be incredibly challenging which is why the Government is providing $850,000 to fund the Youth Navigators program.

Youth Navigators will make a real difference by providing individual coaching and targeted support to help recent school leavers identify education and employment goals.

The pilot program is an initiative of the Tasmanian Youth Employment Alliance, and will assist young people who are typically unable to immediately access other State and Australian Government employment services.

It is really encouraging that the new Youth Navigators can access wide-ranging support from across Tasmania’s community and youth services sector through member organisations of the Tasmanian Youth Employment Alliance.

The program will be delivered through Alliance members - Impact Communities, yourtown, Youth, Family and Community Connections through bases in the north, north west and south with Colony47 managing the overall project.

The Youth Navigators program is now open and more information can be found at www.youthnavigators.com.au
