Applications now open for International Women’s Day grants

The Tasmanian Liberal Government is inviting applications for the 2023 International Women’s Day Small Grants Program.

International Women’s Day is held on 8 March each year and is a major day of global celebration for the economic, political and social achievements of women.

Under this grant program, the Tasmanian Government provides a funding pool of $20,000 to support events run by local organisations across the State on or around International Women’s Day.

I encourage Tasmanian organisations, schools and community groups to apply for grants of up to $2000 each.

This important grants program supports events and projects that raise awareness of women’s achievements, build connections between women, and celebrates the contribution of women to our community.

This year’s grant program also encourages projects that contribute to cultural change so Tasmania’s women and girls have equal opportunity to participate in all aspects of Tasmanian life.
