I send my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Max McKenna, who sadly passed away at age 77.
A stalwart in the North West region and a highly respected businessman in the potato industry, Mr McKenna was a fierce advocate for the agriculture industry and his work had benefits for the entire community.
Mr McKenna was a farming legend, a leader and he will be dearly missed by the community, the potato industry and the wider agriculture community.
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to visit Mr McKenna at his property and hear first-hand about his lifelong dedication to the sector.
