As part of our plan to secure Tasmania’s future, we want our community to be a confident and inclusive one where all people are treated fairly, with respect and have an equal opportunity to engage in Tasmanian life.
To help support small events across the State, applications for the Tasmanian Liberal Government’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer (LGBTIQ+) Grants Program 2022 open today.
As part of our election commitment, we are providing increased funding to help increase acceptance of diversity, access to services and participation for LGBTIQ+ Tasmanians.
We have allocated $60,000 to the LGBTIQ+ Grants Program and community organisations, tertiary institutions and local government can apply.
This Program helps promote inclusion and diversity, develops and strengthens partnerships within the community, and provides opportunities to increase economic and social participation for LGBTIQ+ Tasmanians.
Applications close 6 May 2022 and applicants will be advised of the outcomes on 31 May 2022.
For further information about the LGBTIQ+ Grants Program, please contact Department of Communities Tasmania on 1800 204 224 or email csrgrants@communties.tas.gov.au or visit www.communities.tas.gov.au/csr
We are also supporting Working it Out to administer a $10,000 community grants program in recognition of the important work that individuals/communities undertake at the local level. More information on this grant program can be found at https://www.workingitout.org.au
