The Tasmanian Government’s Tassie Harvest Jobs campaign is bearing fruit and helping more Tasmanians into work ahead of the planting, production and harvest seasons.
With their berry harvest now underway, the campaign has helped Costa Tasmania employ 69 Tasmanians so far, from 405 local applications.
Our consistent aim has been to ensure that Tasmanians are prioritised for jobs ahead of the upcoming planting, production and harvest seasons, and this is a great result and endorsement of our local jobs campaign.
The results of the campaign remain very positive with over 450 Tasmanian positions available from 17 separate listings currently advertised on the Harvest Trail website, and close to 40,000 views on the Harvest Jobs website.
Importantly, there are still plenty of opportunities for Tasmanians, with Costa aiming to employ up to 900 Tasmanians across a range of positions, and I encourage anyone in need of work to jump online and apply.
It’s a great opportunity for Tasmanians to earn hundreds of dollars a week, while gaining valuable skills and experience in our exciting and growing agriculture industry.
