My focus right now is on keeping Tasmanians safe from the current COVID threat and ensuring Tasmanians receive the most recent and accurate information.
If Mr O’Byrne has genuine constituent enquiries that need advice or support, of course my office will do what we can to assist these constituents. All that he needs to do is contact my office and we will endeavour to provide responses as quickly as possible.
However Mr O’Byrne’s offer of bipartisan support cannot be believed considering the politicking shown by Dean Winter yesterday, and by Mr O’Byrne himself during the COVID-enforced shutdown of racing last year.
As today has shown, the situation across the country changes quickly, and the focus of our Public Health officials must be on monitoring and analysing the situation and developing responses to keep Tasmanians safe.
