Jo Palmer, Minister for Women

International Women’s Day Program 2024

I am delighted to invite applications for the 2024 International Women’s Day Small Grants Program.

Under this grant program, the Tasmanian Government will provide a total funding pool of $20,000 to support events run by local organisations across the State on or around International Women’s Day.

“The International Women’s Day Small Grants Program supports events and projects that raise awareness of women’s achievements, build connections between women, and educate the community about the contribution of women,” Minister Palmer said.

“This year’s grant program continues to encourage projects that contribute to cultural change so the diversity of Tasmania’s women and girls have equal opportunity to participate in all aspects of Tasmanian life.

The Rockliff Liberal Government is sticking to our long-term plan and doing what matters for all Tasmanians including making Tasmania the best place to live, work and raise a family.

International Women’s Day is held on 8 March each year and is a major day of global celebration for the economic, political and social achievements of women.
