Applications open for Community Car and Coach Fund

Applications are now open for the Tasmanian Liberal Government’s $500,000 Community Car and Coach Fund, which will help ensure more Tasmanians can access the essential services they need, when they need to.

The fund was established as part of our first 100 day plan, and will provide access to essential services for Tasmanian communities, particularly in rural and regional areas where transport options may be limited.

The initiative supports locally-based solutions by providing funds to eligible organisations to purchase a vehicle that best meet the needs of each community – whether that’s a car, mini-bus or van.

Importantly, this will enable people to access employment, education, health and wellbeing services, and social and other support networks.

Applications close on August 30, 2021, and the funding will be delivered via one grant round totalling $500,000.
