Stamping out Stamp Duty for first home buyers of existing homes, up to $750,000, saving Tasmanians up to $28,935;
Slashing all public transport fares by half, with commuters now enjoying half price bus and ferry fares until June 30, 2025;
Delivering energy bill relief to every Tasmanian household with $250 credited through the supercharged Renewable Energy Dividend; and
Doubling the Healthy School Lunches Program, saving families up to $950 per year.
Health
Undertaking redevelopments at each of the major public hospitals.;
Employing 78 new full-time paramedics, including 27 community paramedics to be deployed to our regional communities;
Progressing plans for a Northern Heart Centre;
Recruiting 44 additional doctors and 25 nurses for the Royal Hobart Hospital’s recently expanded Emergency Department; and
Deploying a GP NOW Rapid Response Unit, with 10 GPs on standby for when and wherever they are needed in the event of a GP closure.
Housing
Expanding the MyHome Shared Equity Program, including lifting income limits;
Adding another 200 homes to the Private Rental Incentive Scheme, providing reduced rent to low-income Tasmanians;
Creating a HomesFaster! Incentive Fund to stimulate supply; and
Delivering more key worker accommodation for regional workers
Education
Commencing our School Building Blitz, with upgrades to 15 schools;
Construction of a brand new purpose-built North-West Support School in Devonport, alongside major upgrades to the Burnie Campus;
Building four new supersized Child and Family Learning Centres at Smithton, Longford, Scottsdale and Huonville;
Establishing the VET Facilities Fund to deliver new and upgraded industry-standard facilities and equipment at Colleges, Secondary Schools and Trade Training Centres; and
Delivering a new Early Years Workforce Development Fund aimed at growing and upskilling the workforce, including scholarships and incentives for workers in hard-to-staff areas.
