Celebrating Tasmania’s award winning architects for 2021

As Minister for Workplace Safety and Consumer Affairs, and Ambassador for the Tasmanian Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects, it was my pleasure to attend the Tasmanian Architecture Awards Presentation Dinner virtually to celebrate the vital work of our State’s architects.

Our building and construction industry is a key driver of our State’s economy, especially as we rebuild from COVID-19. Architects play a crucial role in developing our built environment by providing innovative and flexible designs to support and enhance our Tasmanian lifestyle.

There were 21 projects entered across 10 categories, as well as a number of Chapter prizes. All entries can be viewed online at https://www.architecture.com.au/awards/2021-awards/entrant-gallery-tasmanian-chapter-2021

Thank you to all the award entrants and winners for their hard work and commitment to their profession and who have all made impressive contributions to Tasmania’s built environment, which benefits our entire community.

All Named Award and Chapter Award winners will now progress to the National Architecture Awards.
