About 95 per cent of Tasmanian students enjoy good relationships and feel supported by their teachers, according to the Department for Education, Children and Young People’s latest key data set.
Minister for Education, Children and Youth, Roger Jaensch, released the Key Data Set today.
“Student wellbeing is a priority for the Rockliff Liberal Government and this result is a testament to Tasmania’s hardworking school staff,” Minister Jaensch said.
Highlights from this year’s data include:
“Our Government is taking action to improve transparency and that is why these high-value data sets will now be made available via an online portal on the Department’s website,” Minister Jaensch said.
“As part of this new approach, there will be more flexibility of reporting on selected data sets such as reporting attendance and suspension data.
“In line with our commitment to improve community access to data, additional data sets have also been incorporated into the data release.”
