Tasmania is now a better place to live than ever before. The facts are in - on every major economic indicator the Hodgman Liberal Government is delivering for Tasmanians.
Our economy is growing, there are an additional 14,700 Tasmanians in work and our exports have grown by more than 33 per cent.
We are investing record amounts into the health, education and infrastructure Tasmanians need and have kept the budget in surplus.
Since coming to office, the Hodgman Liberal Government has employed more than 370 nurses, 142 more teachers, as well as an additional 113 police.
Rebecca White had an opportunity to tell Tasmanians at the Labor conference this weekend what Labor stood for.
However, all Ms White had to say was that Labor is doubling down on their failed policies which were comprehensively rejected by Tasmanians at the last election.
It’s clear all Ms White wanted to achieve was to talk down our State to Tasmanians.
Rebecca White stood by as Labor members supported increasing the size of the public sector which would blow the budget out by at least a $1.2 billion across the forward estimates.
Labor also bowed to their union masters demands for massive increases in public sector wages which will put our budget, and the record investments in education, health and infrastructure at risk.
Tasmanians have not forgotten that 10,000 jobs were lost and our economy went backwards under the former Labor-Green Government.
The Labor conference demonstrated just how lazy Labor are and that they have learnt nothing since their third worst defeat in their history just six months ago.
A strong economy and better services do not happen by accident. They are delivered because of a strong plan and a stable majority government.
This weekend Labor were put under pressure to come up with good policy and a plan which would not wreck the budget and destroy jobs, and they simply could not do it.
