New digital portal increases access to Government services

Tasmanians can now access a new digital portal, myServiceTas, offering a one stop shop to Government services, including renewing vehicle registration and driver’s licence, checking demerit points and more.

Premier Jeremy Rockliff said the Tasmanian Government’s $4.3 million investment has delivered Tasmanians a secure and easy-to-use access point for Government services,” Premier Rockliff said.

“The portal provides access to a personalised account for selected services all in one place.

“myServiceTas provides Tasmanians with a way to engage with Government services at a time and place that suits them.

“The portal will complement Service Tasmania’s 27 centres, phone services and website.”

The first stage of myServiceTas is predominantly for popular transport-related services and provides a foundation for Tasmanians to access other online services in the future.

Additionally, Tasmanians will be able to sign up for digital notices and advise several government agencies at once of updated contact details.

“We are proud to have worked with local business Intuit to build this first of its kind portal in Tasmania, making it easier for Tasmanians to do everyday business with government,” Premier Rockliff said.

For information about myServiceTas and how to register an account visit the Service Tasmania website.
