Youth Week Tasmania celebrates being bold, being you

The successful applicants for the Youth Week Tasmania 2023 Grants Program have been announced.
Youth Week Tasmania is an annual celebration that recognises and celebrates the value of all young Tasmanians aged 12 to 25 years.
Eighteen recipients will receive a share of $20,000 to deliver innovative and creative events and activities across the State as part of Youth Week Tasmania 2023.
Running from May 1 to May 7, the theme of this year’s Youth Week is Acceptance and the slogan is Be Bold: Be You.
Minister for Education, Children and Youth, Roger Jaensch, congratulated the successful organisations and said he was looking forward to seeing the projects come to life.
“The Rockliff Liberal Government continues to invest in our young people and their future,” Minister Jaensch said.
“Wherever they live and whatever their circumstances, we want young people to have the opportunity to reach their full potential while leading happy and fulfilling lives.
“It is fantastic to see the diverse range of events and activities being held across the State for Youth Week, including a Night Skate at Ulvy Park, Kingborough's Got Talent, Scooter Jam at St Helens and giving a voice to young victim-survivors of sexual violence at Burnie.”
Youth Week Tasmania aims to be inclusive of all young Tasmanians from all communities.
Minister Jaensch also thanked Youth Network of Tasmania and all the young people involved in preparations for this important week.
The list of successful applicants is available on DPAC’s website.
