Tasmanian Summer of Racing 2022

The Tasmanian racing industry is critical for the State, generating close to $185 million in value-added contribution to the Tasmanian economy.

In partnership with Ladbrokes, Tasracing is hosting a second summer of racing featuring all three codes.

The Ladbrokes Tasmanian Summer of Racing Carnival will feature more than 20 race days.

Prominent among these meetings will be the Ladbrokes Devonport, Hobart and Launceston Thoroughbred Cup Days, plus the summer’s richest days on the harness and greyhound calendars, including the Ladbrokes Hobart Thousand Greyhound event – Tasmania’s only Group 1 race meeting.

Already underway with the running of the Devonport Chase for greyhounds on 26 November, the carnival will finish on 23 February 2022 at the Tasmanian Turf Club with the Launceston Cup meeting.

The summer racing season is extremely important to the Tasmanian Racing Industry and the carnival provides a great opportunity to showcase the state’s racing product, the racecourse experience and the overall importance of the industry to key audiences.

Tasracing has also continued to invest in Tasracing TV and the digital offering of the Formplus PRO product allowing the industry to benefit from better engagement with existing and new customers.

Tasmanian racing fans are encouraged to find out more and check out all the race meetings across thoroughbreds, harness and greyhounds at summerofracing.com.au
