SKILL-UP for your future at TasTAFE

A new round of no-fee TasTAFE courses will enable Tasmanians to get the skills they need to find employment or change careers as part of the Tasmanian Liberal Government’s plan to ensure we have the skilled workforce to support our growing economy.

SKILL-UP is a series of short courses which provide training for Tasmanians to take up job opportunities, upskill or re-skill for work in some of the state’s key industries and the launch delivers on another of our First 30 Day commitments.

The courses provide work-ready skills for growth industries including health, tourism and hospitality, construction and agriculture along with a number of courses enabling Tasmanians to develop or improve their digital technology skills.

The round includes 455 places available across 12 courses ranging from Infection Control; Lead and Coach Agri Workers and Business Computing to Tourism Customer Service; Barista Training; Operate Digital Media Packages  and a Construction Taster Program.

This is the first of two SKILL-UP rounds to be offered this year, and follows TasTAFE’s highly successful 2020 SKILL-UP program, which had over 550 enrolments in the first two rounds.

The Tasmanian Liberal Government has a plan for TasTAFE, and we will continue to support industry and deliver accessible training which helps Tasmanians find a job, upskills or change careers.

Expressions of interest for the new round open today ( 15 June) with applications opening on 28 June.
