Opening of Agricultural Show Development Grants Program 2023-24

Applications are now open for vital funding to support Tasmania’s iconic agricultural shows into the future.

Funding has been increased this year by the Rockliff Liberal Government for the Agricultural Show Development Grants Program 2023-24.

Minister for Community Services and Development, Nic Street, said these grants build on funding of more than $2 million since 2018 in supporting these important community events.

“Funding is available to rural and regional show societies across Tasmania to upgrade vital community infrastructure and helping these iconic community events remain relevant into the future,” he said.

Funding of up to $25,000 from a funding pool of $250,000 is available for eligible organisations in 2023-24 to support the operation of the annual agricultural show through:

  1. developing infrastructure; and/or
  2. improving governance, planning or use of technology.

Applicants must complete an application form, available at www.dpac.tas.gov.au/divisions/cpp/community-grants/agricultural_show_development_grants_program

If you are having difficulty accessing the application form, or have any questions regarding the application process, please call Community Grants on 1800 204 224 or grants@dpac.tas.gov.au
