The Tasmanian Liberal Government is improving sporting facilities across the State to get more Tasmanians active and boost participation in sport.
I’m pleased to announce that 40 organisations from across Tasmania will receive more than $1.5 million in funding from the 2021-22 Improving the Playing Field Grants Program (Small Grants).
The Program recognises the importance of sport and recreation to Tasmanian communities and is also providing assistance in supporting the building and construction industry and local jobs.
Improving the Playing Field is being provided through two streams:

Funding under the Grants Program will contribute towards more than $2.3 million in total project costs around the State.
We want more Tasmanians to get involved in physical activity, no matter what their age, their circumstance or their background.
