Felix Ellis, Minister for Skills and Jobs

Excellence in vocational education and training (VET) was celebrated last night at the 2026 Tasmanian Training Awards at Hobart's Wrest Point.

Thirteen outstanding learners, teachers and organisations were recognised as category winners, selected from more than 67 finalists across Tasmania.

Minister for Skills and Jobs, Felix Ellis, said this year's winners demonstrated the life-changing impact of vocational education and training, highlighting the skills, dedication and innovation that are helping build Tasmania's future workforce.

"These award winners showcase the very best of Tasmania's vocational education and training sector and the important role VET plays in creating opportunities for individuals, businesses and communities," Minister Ellis said.

"Their achievements reflect the transformative power of training and skills development, helping people pursue rewarding careers while supporting the growth and success of industries across the State.

“Through our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future, we are ensuring Tasmanians have the skills and training they need.”

Award winners in 10 categories will have the opportunity to represent Tasmania at the Australian Training Awards in Sydney in November.
