Tender released for new Dorset CFLC

The tender for the new Dorset Child and Family Learning Centre (CFLC) in Scottsdale has been released.

The new Dorset CFLC will be constructed on the Scottsdale Primary School site.

Minister for Education, Jo Palmer, said this is an exciting step forward for the project.

“We know just how important these centres are for communities across the state,” Minister Palmer said.

“This is one of three centres being delivered in regional communities, a key part of our Government’s 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future.

“Our CFLCs are welcoming places for families and young children that offer a variety of services for the community.

“Families will have free access to psychologists, speech pathologists and social workers, ensuring support for children to meet their developmental milestones and set them up for a life of learning.

“We are building an even better Tasmania by investing in the services our families need.

"I am so excited to see this project coming to life, and I look forward to providing further updates as it progresses.”

Following planning approvals, it is expected construction will begin in early 2027.
