The ANZ Stateometer, released today, shows Tasmania has the strongest business conditions in the nation.
This backs in the NAB Monthly Business Survey, which has consistently placed Tasmania top of the charts for business confidence and conditions.
Treasurer Eric Abetz said efforts to remove red tape and back jobs was a big factor.
"Our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future delivers red tape reduction," the Treasurer said.
"Government is getting out of the way and ensuring our businesses have the regulatory environment they need to keep our economy growing.
"We are seeing real outcomes from our strong business conditions, with more than 47,000 jobs created since 2014, record export performance in 2025-26, and the upcoming reopening of the Mt Lyell copper mine supporting jobs and investment on the West Coast.
"A strong economy means more investment in services without raising taxes.
"Unlike Labor, we won't slug Tasmanians and their families with taxes.
"Our businesses are confident, the right conditions are in place and as a result we are seeing resilience in the face of international headwinds."
