International Women’s Day Grants program now open

The Tasmanian Government’s International Women's Day Small Grants Program is back, with applications for 2027 now open to support community-led events, activities and projects.

Minister for Women and the Prevention of Family and Sexual Violence, Jo Palmer, encouraged eligible organisations to apply for funding to deliver initiatives that promote gender equality and recognise the contributions of women and girls.

"International Women's Day is such an important opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women and girls,” Minister Palmer said.

“We want to see organisations big and small apply, particularly if this is the first year they’re hosting an event.

"As part of our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future, we are delivering grants to support local organisations bring people together to celebrate women, share stories, recognise leadership and strengthen community connections.

"Every year, communities across Tasmania find meaningful ways to mark International Women's Day, and I look forward to seeing the diverse range of events, activities and projects supported through this year's program.”

Eligible organisations can apply for grants of up to $3,000 from a total funding pool of up to $40,000.

Applications for 2027 have opened earlier than previous years to provide organisations more time to apply and plan events, activities and projects.

Applications close Tuesday 3 November 2026.
