Nick Duigan, Minister for Sport
The Tasmanian Government has opened the next round of funding for sports clubs to deliver upgraded and accessible facilities across the State.
Minister for Sport, Nick Duigan, said the Tasmanian Active Infrastructure Grants Program supports upgrades that increase participation in sport and active recreation, with a focus on improving access, capacity and inclusion.
"Our Government is focused on strengthening local community infrastructure as part of our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future, and these grants will help deliver just that," Minister Duigan said.
"We recognise the important role sport and active recreation plays in supporting health, wellbeing and community connection.
"We are committed to ensuring more Tasmanians, regardless of age, ability or background, can participate in sport and active recreation and access quality facilities.
"This important program is part of our ongoing commitment to strengthen Tasmania's sport and active recreation sector, and I encourage all eligible organisations to consider applying."
The Tasmanian Government is investing $5 million in the program in 2026-27.
Eligible organisations can apply for grants of between $60,000 and $500,000 for projects that develop or upgrade facilities such as change rooms, toilets, playing fields and fencing.
The program is open to clubs, not-for-profit organisations and local government entities that provide sport and active recreation opportunities for Tasmanians.
