Bridget Archer, Minister for Health, Mental Health and Wellbeing

Labor's Sarah Lovell has joined Shane Broad in backing the Tasmanian Government’s health Budget.

Ms Lovell acknowledged the need to deliver efficiencies and savings while continuing record investment in health.

And that’s exactly what the Government is doing.

Premier Jeremy Rockliff secured an additional $700 million in health funding from the Federal Government as part of the National Health Reform Agreement.

The 2026-27 Budget shows increased expenditure of $264.8 million in health.

A record investment of $15 billion in health over the next four years, which is 35 per cent of the Budget.

It is in the Budget in black and white.
