Launceston’s Northern Suburbs Community Recreation Hub has officially opened, marking a major milestone for community sport, recreation and youth engagement.
This is Tasmania’s largest multi-purpose community sporting and recreation facility, featuring more than 10,000 square metres of indoor space alongside additional outdoor recreation areas designed to support year-round community activity.
The $62.5 million project has been supported by all three levels of Government, with the Rockliff Government investing $46.3 million, the Albanese Government $15.1 million and the City of Launceston $1.1 million.
Tasmanian company Vos Construction and Joinery delivered the project, which involved more than 500 construction workers and suppliers over the past 18 months.
