The latest trade data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics shows Tasmania's exports are up 8.9 per cent year on year.
This has strongly outpaced national export growth of 3.7 per cent.
In dollar terms, this is an increase of $430 million in the back pocket of Tasmanian exporters – and it takes Tasmania's total international export value to $4.94 billion, a record high for a 12 month period.
Through the 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future the Tasmanian Government has a goal of growing annual exports to $15 billion by 2050.
Premier Jeremy Rockliff said this rise in exports is a testament to Tasmania.
"Tasmanian produce is being sent to every corner of the globe," the Premier said.
"Our primary producers are farming pork, beef, poultry and dairy products that are being sought by restaurants and retailers worldwide.
"Tasmania's wine producers continue to be competitive with the finest vineyards in France - and the world knows it.
"Spirits, seafood, cheese, fruit, minerals and everything in between is being exported in rising amount and value to meet the world's appetite for Tasmanian goods.
"Since this Liberal Government was elected in 2014, trade exports have grown by 78 per cent.
"We want to see international exports continue to rise - and we have targeted strategies in place to deliver this.
"The world is facing turbulent times, but its appetite for Tasmanian goods and services is stronger than it has ever been."
