Jane Howlett, Minister for Tourism, Hospitality and Events

Thousands of music lovers have made their way to Carrick for Tasmania’s premier music festival, Party in the Paddock.

Minister for Tourism, Hospitality and Events, Jane Howlett, said the large-scale, multi-day festival was a celebration of live music by local and international acts.

“Party in the Paddock is a top-tier music festival, with the highest quality production and globally recognised musical acts,” Minister Howlett said.

“This year’s stellar line up includes Ocean Alley, The Veronicas, SOFI TUKKER and global music icon Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

“Events like these strengthen Tasmania’s reputation in the music and arts sector, and our Government’s support demonstrates a strong commitment to regional events.

“They also inject thousands of dollars into our visitor economy through our tourism and hospitality sector.

“More than 12,000 people attended Party in the Paddock in 2025, with 10 per cent of those travelling from interstate or overseas to be a part of it.

“The flow on effect included about 500 people staying in paid accommodation, with an average night stay of 9.8 days.

“Our Liberal Government is helping keep our economy strong and supporting Tasmanian jobs by investing in events like Party in the Paddock.

“We want to acknowledge all those involved with putting on this fantastic event.”
