The January NAB Monthly Business Survey shows Tasmania's business confidence remains nation leading.
Tasmania is also second in business conditions, continuing a strong run of Tasmania at the top.
Premier Jeremy Rockliff said business confidence and conditions translate to real results for Tasmanians.
"We are continuing to punch above our weight, showing bigger states what can be achieved with the right plan," the Premier said.
"Over 97 per cent of businesses in Tasmania are small businesses - that's mums and dads right around the state working hard to put food on the table and roofs over heads.
"These are small businesses in our regions, in the suburbs and right into the heart of our CBDs, bringing benefits to every corner of our state.
"I am confident that as this Liberal Government continues to deliver for Tasmanians we will continue to see strong results."
Treasurer Eric Abetz said that the latest ABS data shows household spending is at an all-time high.
"We are backing our businesses in with some of the strongest conditions in the country, Tasmanians are spending and businesses are confident about the future," the Treasurer said.
"Confident business and industry leads to employment and investment.
"This is all backed in by record household spending - the engine room of our economy is humming along.
"We have a booming tourism sector, our building and construction industry is busy, and our hotels are full.
"There has never been a better time to be in Tasmania running a business, raising your family and enjoying everything our beautiful home has to offer."
