Tas biz confidence and conditions buck national trend

The latest NAB Monthly Business Survey has Tasmania bucking a nationwide trend.

As business confidence and conditions fall across the country, Tasmania has remained at the top for both metrics.

Premier Jeremy Rockliff welcomed these figures, but acknowledged global instability was creating uncertain times in Tasmania.

"Our Government's swift response to fuel uncertainty has helped Tasmanians deal with global uncertainty," the Premier said.

"The trend around the country shows our sensible policy and strong support of Tasmania's economy is delivering the right balance.

"We have record unemployment, strong private investment and a healthy, resilient business community.

"Our Government is delivering for Tasmanians through cost of living relief and smart policy.

"We will continue to stand with business, keep our economy strong and support our community."
