The Tasmanian Government is continuing to invest in Men’s Sheds across Tasmania, with 25 sheds set to receive funding for new tools, equipment and training.
Minister for Community and Multicultural Affairs, Madeleine Ogilvie, said the recipients of the Tasmanian Men’s Sheds Association Grants Program 2025-26 will distribute $171,631 to Men’s Sheds throughout Tasmania.
“This funding will support Men’s Sheds to continue to be safe, accessible and welcoming community hubs for men,” Minister Ogilvie said.
“We are supporting Men’s Sheds so they can focus on their vital role in our communities.
“Our Government is delivering for Tasmanians, and working together to move our state forward.”
The 2025-26 recipients of the grants program are:
- Beaconsfield Men's Shed - Purchase tools and equipment - $12,910
- Bethlehem House Tasmania - Purchase table saw, hand tools and non-slip matting - $10,127
- Bicheno Community Men’s Shed - Purchase drum sander - $4,263
- Bruny Island Men’s Shed - Purchase thicknesser, saw and table, mini lathe, tools and accessories - $9,984
- Channel Men's Shed - Purchase replacement table saw - $7,988
- Clarendon Vale Neighbourhood Centre (Clarence Plains Community Shed) - Purchase drum sander and related equipment - $2,389
- Collinsvale Machinery and Social Club - Purchase scissor lift - $830
- Devonport Men's Shed - Purchase safety equipment and equipment upgrades - $10,024
- East Tamar Men’s Shed - Purchase metal milling machine - $5,280
- Howrah Men's Shed - Purchase tools and equipment - $10,044
- Huonville Men's Shed - Purchase sander, bandsaw, thicknesser, and table saw - $9,279
- Karadi Aboriginal Corporation (Karadi Community Shed) - Purchase power tool kits - $6,361
