Madeleine Ogilvie, Minister for the Environment
Tasmanian businesses are encouraged to apply for a share of $550,000 in grants to reduce emissions, build resilience and transition to a low-emissions economy.
Minister for the Environment, Madeleine Ogilvie, said the Climate Change Business Innovation Grant Program will support small- to medium-sized businesses to be more prepared for the future.
“This program backs businesses to get projects started and share information and resources, amplifying the impact of their climate action initiatives,” Minister Ogilvie said
“By working together, we can drive innovation in Tasmania and set examples for other businesses to follow.”
The program is designed for Tasmanian businesses with an annual turnover of between $500,000 and $55 million.
Successful applicants must provide a cash co-contribution of at least 30 per cent of the approved grant funding amount, ensuring a shared commitment to the project's success.
Minister Ogilvie said the Tasmanian Government was helping the business community deal with challenges they face with commonsense.
“Projects can range from demonstrating viability of an initiative, upscaling an existing program, through to building local capability and awareness through education,” Minister Ogilvie said.
“This includes things like community-focused active transport, citizen science monitoring programs, and projects that improve the resilience of vulnerable community assets.
"This grant program supports Tasmanian businesses to innovate and lead the way in climate action.
“We look forward to seeing the creative projects that will emerge from this initiative.”
Applications close on 17 November 2025.
