Junction Arts Festival has transformed Prince’s Square as part of its 15-year anniversary event, which is being held over two weekends for the first time.
The Tasmanian Government is providing certainty for the tourism sector by back in events like Junction Arts Festival.
Minister for Tourism, Hospitality and Events, Jane Howlett, said Northern Tasmania’s premier multi-arts festival was one of many across the State attracting more visitors to the regions.
“Junction Arts Festival marking its 15-year anniversary over two weekends shows the strength of this event,” Minister Howlett said.
“Our world-class produce, beverages, art and entertainment have drawn visitors and locals alike to the first weekend, and there’s plenty more on offer.
“This weekend will feature Junction’s signature festival experience, showcasing contemporary art, live music, immersive performances, and late-night events.
“Our tourism and hospitality sector is strong, supporting one in six jobs in Tasmania.
“The Tasmanian Government is working together to move our state forward and is investing in our events sector which has been recognised nationally and internationally.
“These events ensure we will continue to draw more visitors to Tasmania, spreading the benefits right across our economy.”
