Members of the public are invited to view designs for the new Cygnet Ambulance Station through community consultation opportunities from Monday 22 September.
The new Cygnet Ambulance Station will be built on a greenfield site at 48-52 Mary Street, Cygnet.
Minister for Health, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Bridget Archer, said the new station would bolster emergency services in Cygnet and the wider Huon Valley.
“The new Cygnet Ambulance Station is one of four new ambulance stations announced in 2024 to be built around Tasmania as part of our Government’s commitment to increase Ambulance Tasmania’s services,” Minister Archer said.
“This new state-of-the-art facility will support improved call-out response times in the area and the design includes a training room, modern office and storage facilities, dormitory accommodation for on-call staff, and a two-bay garage capable of housing up to four vehicles.
“Members of the public are invited to view the designs at the Cygnet Town Hall from this Monday, with the project team set to be on site between 12pm and 4pm to answer questions about the new station.
“Residents can continue to view the design and project information at the Huon Valley Council offices, and the Cygnet Library during opening hours from Monday, 22 September until Tuesday, 7 October 2025.
“This Liberal Government is delivering for Tasmania by investing in health infrastructure and services now and for the future.”
Extensive consultation was undertaken with the Huon Valley Council and Ambulance Tasmania on the location for the Cygnet Ambulance Station.
