Bridget Archer, Minister for Health, Mental Health and Wellbeing

Earlier today, I had a positive discussion with The Hobart Clinic, its Members, relevant unions, and former and current Hobart Clinic staff members to discuss potential options to keep the Clinic operating.

I am encouraged that while the Hobart Clinic has previously advised it intended to close even if public funding was provided as their model was not sustainable, it is open to further discussions with unions and stakeholders regarding its ongoing viability.

The Hobart Clinic will now have further discussions with relevant stakeholders, as any potential transition will need to operate under their brand and from the Rokeby facility.

We will continue to work with the Clinic and I look forward to further updates as it works with stakeholders on a possible pathway forward.
