Jane Howlett, Minister for Tourism, Hospitality and Events

The Tasmanian Government has launched the HOSPO Health Leaders Program which is delivering long-term change for the hospitality and tourism sector.
Minister for Tourism, Hospitality and Events, Jane Howlett, joined Hospitality Tasmania to launch the leadership program, which is having a real impact in Tasmania.
“For four years now Hospitality Tasmania has been delivering the HOSPO Health program, a preventative health and wellbeing initiative that puts in place mechanisms to boost the industry for the long term,” Minister Howlett said.
“Now, they are taking the program to the next level.
“The HOSPO Health Leaders Program is a sure way to make real, long-term change for individual employees and for businesses in the sector, lead by industry leaders, so that workers aren't leaving hospitality due to stress and burnout.”
Ten Tasmanian small, large and regional businesses have been chosen through an expression of interest process to be the first to take part in the leaders program.
They include large hotels, small taverns, regional properties and suburban pubs on the East Coast, West Coast, Launceston, Hobart and further South.
The HOSPO Health Leaders Program is another example of the Tasmanian Government delivering for Tasmania, working together with industry to move our state forward.
