Gavin Pearce, Minister for Primary Industries and Water
This year’s Agribusiness Insights Report has been released, providing a valuable snapshot of the state’s agricultural sector.
The 2024-25 Report was developed by the Tasmanian Government, in consultation with industry and key stakeholders, drawing on industry insights to provide an overview of performance, emerging opportunities, threats and trends over the last year.
Minister for Primary Industries and Water, Gavin Pearce, welcomed the Report.
“It’s fantastic to see the outstanding results of our world-class wine industry, with harvest and crush volumes 37 per cent higher than the previous year, alongside other key sectors such as dairy, fruit and field crops,” Minister Pearce said.
“We are delivering for Tasmania by providing the data and intelligence needed to inform industry action, collaboration and government policy responses.
“Importantly, the Insights Report helps inform how our Government and industry can continue to work towards achieving our AgriVision target to grow the annual farmgate value of agriculture to $10 billion a year by 2050.”
