Eric Abetz, Treasurer

The portal recently launched by the Efficiency and Productivity Unit is already attracting valued ideas and feedback from the Tasmanian Public Service.

In the first four days, 258 new ideas from 153 public servants have been submitted from across the service.

Treasurer Eric Abetz said there are ideas coming from across the public service.

"We're hearing from workers across the state service, giving us a broad cross-section of ideas and insights as to where there may be opportunities," the Treasurer said.

"We're already hearing about ways we can implement service delivery improvements, enhance internal processes, more efficient procurement, digital data and technology solutions, and innovative approaches to government operations.

"This is exactly what we want to be hearing - ways we can continuously improve, be more efficient and in turn provide better results for every taxpayer dollar spent.

"I encourage all public servants to consider submitting improvement initiatives, as they are best placed to identify many of these opportunities."

Portal submissions can be made here.

The online survey will be available until 31 May 2026.
