Roger Jaensch, Minister for Finance

The wannabe Treasurer has had a woeful slip up in Parliament today stating that Primary School teachers can’t do maths.

Mr Willie is always talking Tasmania down, and in his sights today was the state’s fantastic school teachers.

In a frank admission the opposition spokesperson admitted he wasn’t up to the job.

He said “haha probably beyond my skills as a primary school teacher to calculate that".

What a weird thing for Mr Willie to say. That’s a man aspiring to be in charge of the State’s finances.

On the other side, the Tasmanian Liberal Government is backing in our high-quality teachers.

Our teachers, right now, are out there teaching a future treasurer how to do maths.

Maybe Mr Willie should go back to primary school and learn a thing or two.
