Launceston’s eighth BeerFest is set to transform the Royal Park waterfront into a celebration of Tasmanian beer, cider, wine and food this New Year’s Eve.

Liberal Member for Bass, Rob Fairs, said BeerFest had become an iconic event for Northern Tasmania.

“BeerFest is a big attraction for summer visitors, not only does it showcase our State’s premium craft breweries and producers, but it also encourages people to go on and explore our regions,” Mr Fairs said.

“BeerFest is also much more than a beer festival, it’s a family-friendly New Year’s Eve event with a range of entertainment everyone can enjoy.”

Mr Fairs said the jam-packed program includes live comedy performances, master classes, kids’ activities, and beer-related challenges as part of the Beer Olympics.

Australian electronic duo The Presets will bring in the new year with an energetic DJ set, and crowds can expect to be wowed by the 9.30pm and midnight New Year’s Eve fireworks.

“The Tasmanian Government is proud to support BeerFest,” Mr Fairs said.

“We are working together with organisers of events across the State to grow Tasmania’s job-rich visitor economy.

“I encourage everyone to support our tourism, hospitality and events sector and come and celebrate 2025 at BeerFest.”

BeerFest is on Wednesday, 31 December at Royal Park, Launceston. Tickets are now available at: https://launceston.beerfestivals.com.au/
