The Albanese and Rockliff Governments have activated Emergency Assistance Grants for residents living in the suburbs of Dolphin Sands, Glenlusk and Levendale who have been displaced due to bushfires.

This activation has been made available under the joint Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).

These grants are available to people in the affected areas who have had to evacuate their residence and have been unable to return to their residence, or have become isolated due to the bushfires.

These grants will help affected individuals by helping with the cost of obtaining essential and appropriate shelter, food, transport, and personal items.

Grant funds available are:
*    $250 per adult (over 18 years);
*    $125 per dependent child (under 18 years); and
*    a maximum of $1,000 for any one family.

Premier Jeremy Rockliff said the Tasmanian Government is supporting those who have been impacted by the fires.

“Today, we are activating emergency assistance grants for residents in Dolphin Sands, Glenlusk and Levendale who have been affected by bushfires,” Premier Rockliff said.

“We know this is a difficult time for many Tasmanians, and these grants will help those impacted by the fires.
