Tasmania’s tourism and hospitality industry has enjoyed a string of prestigious awards both nationally and internally in 2024. This is a reflection of the tourism operators’ dedication to delivering top tier product and experiences.
“With an award-winning food, wine, and spirits scene, as well as Agrarian Kitchen being Australia’s Best Restaurant, Devonport named Australia’s Top Tourism Town, wukalina Walk listed in the TIME’s World’s Greatest Places and Tasmania making New York Times Best Places to Visit list, our island is quickly becoming the nation’s standout state,” Premier Rockliff said.
“While Tasmania’s visitors benefit from our breathtaking landscape and world-class produce, it’s the warmth of our people, the passion of our operators and the support of local communities that truly set our experiences apart.”
The Tasman is one in a growing portfolio of high-end and luxury accommodation businesses investing in Tasmania, creating jobs, boosting the economy, and adding confidence to Tasmania’s tourism and hospitality sector.
Developments from international brands, including Novotel, DoubleTree by Hilton and Crowne Plaza, are a testament to the strength of the Tasmanian brand, tourism industry, and unique tourism offering.
The Tasman is owned by Marriott International and is the only Marriott Hotel in the Asia Pacific region.
