Copycat Winter Budget reply flop

After Dean Winter’s attempt to install unelected bureaucrats to determine how taxpayer money is spent fell flat, the only thing the Labor Opposition could stump up is a copycat version of the 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future. 

Mr Winter’s plan for Tasmania was part of the Government’s election platform and is already underway.

These legislative updates will be developed utilising learnings from the Queensland model of the Coordinator-General and major project facilitation.

The Tasmanian Government knows the importance of a strong and certain investment environment. These updates will provide the private sector with the confidence required to invest in Tasmania.

We eagerly await Mr Winter supporting these important legislative reforms.
