Jo Palmer, Minister for Education

Five Tasmanian researchers and creatives have been recognised as part of the 2025 Libraries Tasmania Fellowship Program.

Minister for Education, Jo Palmer, congratulated the fellows, and said their work connects with Tasmania’s rich stories, identity and history.

“These Fellowships provide recipients with valuable opportunities to explore collections and tell Tasmania’s diverse stories,” Minister Palmer said.

“It gives researchers and creatives the opportunity to work with the historically significant collections and records of the State Library and Archives of Tasmania.

“The Fellows bring their personal research, creative, and writing perspectives to study Tasmania’s documented history and produce new works that benefit Tasmanians.

“An important part of our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future is to develop stronger, supported communities.”
