Roger Jaensch, Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing

Preparations for Youth Week events are well underway and the Tasmanian Government is helping bring activities to life.

Minister for Children and Youth, Roger Jaensch, said grants of up to $2,000 to support Youth Week Tasmania events or activities in 2025 will soon be available.

“Youth Week Tasmania is a celebration that recognises the value of young Tasmanians aged 12 to 25,” Minister Jaensch said.

“The week recognises the next generation of leaders, changemakers, influencers and visionaries who are shaping our state.

“The 2025 Youth Week Tasmania Grants Program supports local government, community organisations and schools to develop and deliver innovative events and activities during Youth Week Tasmania 2025.

“Helping our young people prosper is something that our government is focused on through our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future. We’re really proud of that, and these grants will help continue that.”

Youth Week Tasmania 2025 will run from Thursday, 10 April 2025 to Thursday, 17 April 2025 with the theme of 'Courage: stepping out of your comfort zone'.

More information and access to the online application are available from the community grants website, or the Child and Youth Wellbeing website.

Applications for the 2025 Youth Week Tasmania Grants Program open on December 18 and close on 31 January 2025.
