Rex regional flight guarantee welcomed

Rex plays an important role in connecting our regional communities, particularly King Island, as well as linking access to essential services, business and freight. 

I stressed the importance of the airline’s regional services to Tasmania directly to the Prime Minister and Minister Eric Abetz wrote to his federal counterpart Catherine King to highlight the situation for Tasmania. 

We welcome the Australian Government’s commitment to guarantee regional flight bookings for Rex customers following this strong advocacy from the Tasmanian Government. 

The Tasmanian Government will continue to work closely with the Federal Government throughout this process.
