Supporting our agricultural shows

Agricultural shows play an important role in Tasmania’s regional communities, bringing people together and showcasing what our regions have to offer.

A number of agricultural show societies across Tasmania will share funding totalling $247,986 from the Agricultural Show Development Grants Program.

This program helps support the sustainability of agricultural show societies by funding important community infrastructure.

Funding allocated in this round will assist agricultural show societies to upgrade and maintain existing infrastructure and/or construct new infrastructure.

Some of the projects to receive funding include:

  • Toilet block upgrade for the Bream Creek Show Society Inc;
  • Upgrade and extend electrical supply to Pavillion and poultry shed for the King Island Agricultural, Horticultural and Pastoral Society Inc;
  • Provision of a new kitchen in the L.A. Burbury Pavilion for the Midland Agricultural Association Inc; and
  • Showground redevelopment for Bushy Park Show Society Inc.
